Oops, sorry, guess my comment sounded harsh, It is just that i would like to attend both. But it is a great time to send folks over to actually be able to watch an event. In a lot of ways it is good to run both events at the same time. And doubt anyone will miss my entry at the event. If i have offended , please accept my apology. james

I am no where near national or even a regional level racer yet, plus I got a new car with like 50 miles under my belt. Id like to support somehow so can/should I race? I mean, I promise you, I will finish last in what ever class I am in but Id like to "donate" my money so that CCR can get in the spot light.

Sign up for "Road Tire RWD" with the SS index. That at least gives you a shot at a class win. Barring rain, those of us that aren't on "purple crack" don't stand a snowball's chance in hell in overall PAX... but it should be fun anyway!

Actually the RT pax + index puts you dead even with anyone else in the event . Maybe even an advantage on the slippery asphalt .

Its your class pax multiplied by .978 or .975 .... There is some discussion over which will be used . For ProSolo's they are using .980

Hey drum,
I was thinking. (dangerous thing). I think the event will be great to really spread the word about AutoX. To think there's still people out there that dont know about this. Heck I didn't know till I got hired With a company and my boss told me about it.
But the thing I was thinking. How the top 64 get in. 32 fastest. Then top class. And 4 ladies. (sorry if I messed up numbers). And then 12 random drawings
What if you did make a novice pax class and take like the top 2 drivers from those and put into shoot out. I know it's late for this year. But maybe next? I also understand the logistics of things might prove difficult. But just a thought.

So what is the benefit or disadvantage of registering under road tire rwd instead of str? I see a genesis coupe and vetted in road tire rwd... I would prefer not to be in direct competition with Jon, Mike, AND the Feeney's.

STR is a regular class , RTR takes any car not in an ST class . If your car falls into another class also ( say a Street Prepared class) and you dont want to compete with them , the do RT and run off that SP Pax instead . Harder pax but you do get the RT multiplier too.

And as for Novice . The whole point of this event was to convince Novices they could compete against anyone else at a National event . Putting a Novice class in would kinda defeat that purpose as they would again be competing against other Novices again

Im just needing clairfication...you know,in case it rains... ;D

RT is for open classes that are not ST classes and if your car falls into any one of the open classes you are welcome to run RT UNDER that particular class with your street tires .

OK Anthony, so from what you are saying I am not allowed to run in RT because my car is an STR car. Since I am an ST class, and you say RT is for open classes that ARE NOT ST classes, then RT is not for me. Therefore, if I run in the shootout I have to run in STR against Jon, Licursi, and the Feeney's. Not looking good, lol.

You can go either STR, or the next appropriate class in Street Prepared (CSP?) with the RT modifier.

You can go either STR, or the next appropriate class in Street Prepared (CSP?) with the RT modifier. S2k is in BSP. So if you do that, your PAX is 0.859 * 0.975 = 0.838 (best case). The PAX for STR is 0.835. You stand a better chance overall by staying in STR. Now... if you want to take your car back to stock, it's 0.843 * 0.975 = 0.821.

You are welcome to run your car in RT under whatever class it legal falls into other than an ST class (no ST class in RT ) in your case you could run BSP , FP or EM in RT and be perfectly legal .

So you guys are deviating from the national RT rules in this regard? Not sure what you mean. You can take a bone stock car and run it in CSP or FP or whatever it should legally fall in if you so choose. You'd be dumb to do so and take the pax hit... but it's legal, even on a national level I'm sure.
