Me and one other are comtemplating driving to Tenn Valley Regional Solo in Huntsville al. I have talked with Steve from that region and they typically do 6 to 8 runs on about a 50 to 60 second course. It is on airfield taxiway. Everyone always says getting seat time is the most important thing. So anyone looking to go drop me a line. Link for course map teamtac.org/e107/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?69307ps this is the closest autox i have found for this weekend, anyone else know of one please let me know

I set a limit at about 3 hours. I'll do Danville events with Triad, but that's about it. This is why we need to get you to come to TSCC events

Duck. I am going to try the next triad event I think it's July 15? We were going to do savannah but mike mentioned it to me last night so I think we are going to switch that up. That's autox week 2012. 4 different events in 7 days. Me and Alan have confirmed we are going. I'm leaving Charlotte around 2 tomorrow. And I watch videos of this course. Wow it was a fast one.

You are hard pressed to find another region as warm and open as ours. But the alscca region as been crazy great. After I messed up and got the day wrong and realized we were a day early. The east tenn chair told me at 10am that everyone was 2 hours south at the annual north/south championship. He made a call to them and they said send them on. So we made a 2 trip. They are letting us run 1 and 3 group in afternoon so that we get all our runs. Then we head back up tonight to autox tomorrow. I'm glad to see there are other clubs that are just as hospitable as we are! I want to than the core people who make our autox happen each month, great jobs guys!

I'll have 20 hours of driving this weekend round trip. But it's been worth it. Make the trip to Danville seem like going out for milk

21-22 I'm heading to Va Tech for the Commonwealth Games Autocross , with Blue Ridge Region . 2.5 hours or less from Charlotte . Anthony - is this a 2-day event?? I had the Commonwealth games penciled in until this Subaru thing popped up. Haven't registered for either yet. (although not having to do course work in 100 degree heat is pretty appealing) Kershaw is over 1.5 hours drive for me. VA Tech isn't that much further. Decisions, Decisions..

I guess I have had a few long and stupid drives over the years. 2 stand out form the blurry rest.
1st was when I lived outside Denver Co. our hot shots and I were going down to San Diego For the Pro Solo in April 1987. I did not have a spare set of rims back then so I had to drive on the R-comps, Yokohama 008r's Peter Raymond and I left on Thursday morning around 6 am. But low and behold we got 4 to 6 inches of snow. when I stoped on the down hill on ramp to meet Peter and his wife, Peter had to push me to get moving. We were on snow packed roads for the first 400 miles down to Santa Fe, New Mexico. at about 45 miles an hour. we stopped that night around 2 or 3 in the moring south of Pheniox, Az. got up at 6 am and drove the rest of the way in. Going Home we had the same road conditions. I don't ever want to be on snow and r-comps ever again.
2nd one that stands out is when I lived in San Diego, and went to the Prosolo in Billings Montana. one way was 1472 miles and 27 hours straight behind the wheel each way. I took my Girlfriend of the time. we left on Thursday after work. We were driving a 1985 MR2 at the time no laying back in that to sleep. and we got back in time to go to work on Tuesday.
just some crazy driving. to Drive. thanks Rob.
