In case people were not aware. The BMW event will NOT be happening. We are trying our best to come up with an event.
We do have access to Metrolina October 27&28. Our problem is we have access to the lot we run on but not our usual paddock lot. This means that paddock would be in the grass. Looking for input on this situation. I know it is not ideal and I'm not fond of it myself, but I will leave it up to the membership to voice their thoughts and opinions.
The other options. We are looking into is trying a new lot at knights a week before October 21&22. I am also looking into trying a new mall lot in Gastonia. It would be interesting to say the least.
There appears to be interest in an Intermediate Driving School. Even this late in the year, I am for it. Please express interest in this idea as well. If you believe you would make a stable instructor for this, please PM me your interest.
Please spread the word with prompt response. We want to nail down an event quickly so everyone can plan.

Saturday school if there is the interest and points event on Sunday. Do you only want 8 points events and two months between CCR events :/

BMW would have been points, so I would have to believe Sunday would be points regardless of venue.
Since the CMP event doesn't count, we're behind a points event already - will December be a points event???
I would be up for a new venue. I am definitely in for the Autocross.. I'd love to be a student at the school, but unless my employment situation changes - I'll probably be a helper/instructor for that.

Knights sounds good just to change things up (as long as it's not the same surface) and not have to drive through grass that will eventually turn to dirt and aggravate our hosts at Metro. A mall course could be a nice technical course, however and would be closer to me if it's in Gastonia  I do want the intermediate school as well. |

And it's awesome ;D I'm down for an October event, regardless of venue. Though not necessarily a fan of a grass paddock, I do like the idea of a novice/intermediate school and points event weekend. |

Well, the week before the 20/21st of oct. is SCR's Freestyle event... That would be a tough choice. I'd definitely like to make it to the novice/intermediate school. So obviously my vote is for Metrolina  I've never run at Knights, but Travis took me there once... don't like the curbs much - from the Miata they look like concrete walls :/ I am about to register for my first track day for 10/20 and 10/21, but if it looks like that's when the novice/intermediate school will be I would move a track day back. Any idea when we'll know? |

Ok here's my 2 cents
Ok I vote intermediate school.
I hate grass as much as the next guy. But I also don't want to hurt our sister region scr in turn out for their event plus I need the points.
So in conclusion:
I intermediate school, metro, and a points event, because joe price needs a few extra points to pass tad for 2nd place

LOL! Because of that I'm not going to sweat trying to catch Tad. I'm happy to run as many events as CCR wants to put on points or not. A school, points, or non-points all work for me. As far as sites go, I'm also not crazy about parking on grass; especially if I want to change my tires and stuff. For those of us that need to change tires, how would we manage that? Would we just do it in grid? If we can come up with something for managing that, then I'd be okay with Metrolina. Knights Stadium kind of scares me with those curbs, so unless there's another lot on that site that would work better, I'm not sure about running there. |

We're running Freestlye October 13, great practice for your points event the next weekend. I'm in for an Intermediate School as long as it doesn't conflict with an SCR date.

I vote for Intermediate school at Metrolina. Mostly because I'm going to be at CMP on the 20th and 21st and would really like to do an intermediate school.

I vote metrolina, we park in the grass and sand at CMP. Its not that big of deal just a little more clean up when you get home. But with that said Gastonia mall sound cool too if you can pull that off.
