Just wanted to thank Joe for letting Amy and I have some fun in his car after a frustrating day with the WRX! The car was a ton of fun Joe! Thank you so much. We owe you one!

I 2nd the raccoon face.
Awesome event. Had lots of fun.
Cyndi, you accidentally handed me a 1st place trophy sticker instead of 5th. I thought about keeping it so I could brag to all my friends that I got 1st place, but I decided that I don't want any part of that bad mojo, so I'll need to swap it out next event I go to. I'm going to try to make black lake, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

The BRZ was feeling neglected since I was driving Kurt's Lotus this weekend, so I'm glad it got to see some action. I hope your WRX gets back on the track soon!

i didn't think i got burned at all until i got home and realized my neck and nose were pretty red. i guess that's what you get when you are super pale from being inside most of the winter.
thanks to everyone at CCR! i think everyone(minus some car troubles) had a great time! i am already looking forward to the next event.

The BRZ was feeling neglected since I was driving Kurt's Lotus this weekend, so I'm glad it got to see some action. I hope your WRX gets back on the track soon! I second that... I hope you guys get your transmission situation sorted out without too much trouble. I think Joe knew somehow, someway, the BRZ was gonna get wheeled today, it doesn't get all dressed up unless it has somewhere to go

I should have been paying better attention.... yes you can swap it out....if you would like or just keep it and brag to your friends.... Thats fine with me too....

Yes you can keep it... I was off my game today handing out trophies ..... it was lack of caffeine and exhaustion.... I'll do better next time

I even had sunscreen sitting in my trunk... Didn't think I would need it. Now my face hurts. This is what happens when the sun comes out. I know this is a foreign concept to us this season, but there's a fiery ball in the sky that's converting hydrogen into helium and throwing all sorts of fantastic particles our way... and sometimes it turns us red. Sucks, but it's still better than the alternative

Totally forgot about sun screen today, but at least I got my first auto-x burn in for the year. All smooth sailing to tan from here. lol
Big thanks to Jon B and CaSSino for letting me hoon in their cars. The civic's got some series balls I wish the STC car had, and it's always nice to see my old wh*re (stupid auto edit)Tang!.... Or should I say Revenge?!
Also, great event guys and gals of CCR! Had a blast today!

Had a blast for my first time in 35yrs. I now know the meaning of under steer. And why there are special auto-x tires. They're on the list.

Good event! The lot was a lot more grip than I thought it would have. I found myself chasing seconds of improvement each run, could of easily shaved another 1.5 seconds off my final run too, oopps!!
Something I've noticed running with other regions is adjusting to lots you haven't ran before. I didn't experience this at my first tour last year, which might of been due to the concrete and/or general atmosphere. Harder for me to get into my "groove" at lots I haven't ran before or running with a whole group I haven't ran with. Something I need to work on and hopefully will help me in the long-run.

+1 on the Event, that was fun. Thanks a lot to the CCR core group. I usually don't make it to Charlotte for anything other than Zmax, but I was pleasantly surprised. Nice course btw Mike, I don't think I told you that yesterday. Set up wise we tried something new yesterday and then went back to where we always run. Who knew that bald toyos that sat out all winter would still have some grip. Marcus, I didn't realize that you were there, I don't think we've ever met but talked miata stuff years ago on the etr board, I'll catch you next time. Nariah

Thank you all for coming! We set a new record attendance for Metrolina. Just nuts to see 135 drivers at that small lot. It is such a nice place though and Licursi has such a brilliant mind making these courses. I saw a lot of burnt faces at the end of the day and at the social afterwards. Thank you Stanford for the co drive! Nariah, well driven! I very much like the data acquisition you two have. Very cool! Way to mess up cyndi I can't guarantee having trophy tags to swap out at Black Lake. SCR is running the event. Maybe I'll remember to grab one out of the trailer before it goes back to storage. I am greatly looking forward to see how the rest of this season turns out. It is off to a great start thus far!

Whew! That was one of the best weekends of autocross I've ever had in my short career (2012 NCAC was a close 2nd). It was a struggle learning to drive Kurt's Lotus at the Novice school in wet conditions, but Mike L. gave me some good instruction and helped me key on a couple things that really translated into success on Sunday. Thanks Mike!
Also, a big pat on the back for CCR once again. Great job at the school and great job at the Sunday event. You guys (and gals) are amazing!

Well that's the least I could do to you after the curb stomping you gave all of us last week. lol! The Intermediate competition was tight from top to bottom for sure. I can't wait to see the final results just to see how close it really was. Gonna be a fun season indeed!

Shorty, loose by .05 over 2 days like cASSino did at the ATL tour in 2011 then complain.
Great job Joe, glad to help.
Looks like the Intermediate class has some serious competition this year. Remember it is about getting crooked numbers and not necessarily wins. Be consistent and you will be their at the seasons end.

Intermediate is looking to be as entertaining as we had expected. The real shock is that Frodo's car is so crossed up and HE, as a driver, is keeping that car on top even if it is with the cushiest of pax factors. Keep it up man! You're making me proud :half fake tear:
Results are posting right ..... MEOW!!!!

Intermediate class was definitely a great idea. I was having a hard time deciding between it and open STX, but I'm glad I went with intermediate. My goal for this year is to be Frodo one time.
