Here is the course map. Designed by our very own Jinx Jordan.

Funky. Is that an optional slalom at the bottom of the map?

WOW - way to use all of it up Jinx!
Observers note the box on the upper left of the page. This will be in use - Register, get your map with your class, Pax and number, then go to tech. In that order.
Annual Techies: We would assume your numbers are correct, but please take a look with a critical eye. Set the example!!

It might just be me but that looks painful to drive.

Is that blue line the slalom is following the dip in the middle of zmax?

It might just be me but that looks painful to drive. Remember zMax is big and all the gates and turn entries are 25 - 35 feet, and the distance from element to element is often over 100 feet. It will be faster than you think. Is that blue line the slalom is following the dip in the middle of zmax? Yes it is, and it is going to be fun running the ditch. It is going to be like a mini half-pipe.

It is going to be like a mini half-pipe. That's exactly what I was thinking.

Yeah, as long as your not going straight over the dip it shouldn't be a problem, side to side on it should be fun.

I'm nervous about this one, yet somewhat optimistic. That looks like a tough course, and even to scale, there are some very interesting elements.

I SEE A FUNNEL!!!! Hehe! This will be interesting. A lot of speed and OH CRAP in there. The drainage slalom will definitely be interesting. Release times may be tricky tho. Nice work jinx. I believe this is your first crack at a course?

Hey all, I just joined SCCA and I'm in this region (I'm in Greenville, SC). My car isn't ready yet but would love to come to this event. Would even like to help if you need volunteers. Not sure yet how all that works, but let me know what I can do and at a minimum, how I can go about coming to observe.
Thanks, Greg

Thanks, Greg To observe all you have to do is come and show up and sign the waiver... We even have loaner helmets, if you want to take a ride along with someone, especially during fun runs (time permitting).... We should be fine with workers but it you want to volunteer we won't turn people away, just come see our worker steward. ZMax is a huge site with plenty of places to observe.

Release times may be tricky tho. It should be in the 20 second range. I feel comfortable releasing the second car well before the left hand sweeper coming back to the trailer. Mike and AJ, this is me confirming that I will be at zmax this weekend. Still want me to be keeper of the novices? donour You got it, Thanks Donour.

I believe this is your first crack at a course? Yup , Jinx's first course !!!!! You would think after 50 years in the sport he would have done at least one or two !!! Release times look like 20-25 seconds .

I've got the Chief of S**t Talking working waivers with me in the morning. I can use one other person's help. Alan and Steven Hickerson can battle to the death to see who gets the job. See you guys around 6:30.

My co-driver can't make it this weekend so I'm looking to co-drive with someone. Prefer RWD, but at this point I'll take anything.

See you guys around 6:30. Wouldn't it be good to have 4 out there anyway so that 2 can walk the long course and stuff and keep 2 working waivers at all times? Just cause the sh*t talker has your number shouldn't mean he has dibs! =P

If you show up, I'll put you to work. No problem. I can help with setup during the early AM while you guys do waivers. Just be there by 6:30ish.

So I realize I'm pretty late asking this but if anyone sees this and can answer by tomorrow morning, that'd be great. I've got a 2002 Porsche Boxster (base model) that I have gotten new wheels for since the last SCCA event I participated in. They are aftermarket (O.Z. Alleggerita HLT) and a different size than what came on my car originally, but I believe they are the same size as wheels offered as a factory option on the car (there were a slew of different wheel sizes offered on the 986, even in the same year). If that's the case, can I still run the stock class with them?
