In order for the option of wheel size to work, all options on the vehicle must be present for that wheel size to run stock. Offset of the wheels has to be close to stick also, I can't remember the exact number right now.

I'm sure enough that they were a la carte, so I'll just check offsets.

Well the offsets are pretty far off and I found out that the front OZ wheel is 8" instead of the Porsche OEM 7.5", so I'll just be putting the stock wheels back on.

I laughed pretty hard during my wet runs,, the spin was like an amusement ride,, the rest were just frustrating,,,, but great practice for backing up my braking points.

I think Travis Ball can pass the "Spin Cycle" moniker to me now....what an embarrassing showing and I'm sorry for driving like an idiot and freaking out the course workers in group 3.
I think it would be best for me and everyone else if I just stay away from rain events for a while.... Lol!

We have had a LOT of rain this season, and yeah it's starting to get old. I actually kinda like driving in the rain but I know a lot of people hate it. I think what it boils down to is that we need a new weather steward. Any volunteers?! Thanks to everyone for toughing it out yesterday and I hope despite the moistness, everyone was able to have fun

I had fun BECAUSE of the moistness! The Focus was a blast in the wet, can only imagine what it'll be like in the dry! Below is my fast run (86.4). There was another few seconds out there for a better driver, but I still had a ball.

Spun my car on 3 of my four laps! But it was fun! Still best Autox advice I got all season was to bring extra socks. That's come in handy.

Fun course! I was glad to get some runs in the dry on it. It looked pretty tricky in the wet... Great battle in Tire class again as well, good group to run with.
Here's my best run-

My fastest. Was definitely starting to dry up there at the end, but it was still quite slick.

I saw one guy I think he spun both times I saw his car run. Hope to have the mini back out soon. Bill and Clyde. Glad to see y'all welcomed me back to STX. Great seeing both of you. Strangely enough Joe, Travis "Spin Cycle" Ball took one ride along in my car, and it was the only one I spun out on... and that was in the dry! Hmmmmmm...
Enjoyed seeing everyone again, and driving in the dry, and joined in everyone's misery as I changed tires and packed up during the downpour, lol.

Thanks again AJ for helping me not DNF my last run which put me into plastic cup territory... Pretty dumb place to do it 3 times.

I just checked the results. Five drivers with DNF all four runs. Thirty-seven drivers DNF first run. Sixty-nine drivers DNF at least one run, though many of those were obviously due to the weather. I don't feel so bad about my DNFs now.

I DNF'd on my first run (my only dry run) because I spun on my own. I just wanted to say 2 things: 1) THANK YOU so much group 2 workers, I am so sorry you guys got poured on while we were sitting in our cars in grid! I tried really hard to not hit cones for you. 2) I really love driving in the rain.
Here's my video of run 3 (second run in the wet). I think this run would've put me top pax in the wet...shallow moral victory I know, but I can dream right? Funny how the pavement looks like a solid sheet of ice, cuz that's what it felt like!

No scoring, no timeslips, no one at finish, and if there was a PA in the group, we couldn't hear it. I sure am glad Grid let me know before my last run! I'm not sure if you noticed, but there was a bit of moisture during the event. Everything was set up during run group 1 and we had Dave O'Maley and Heyward Wagner announcing from the little tent near finish. Then when the rains came during run group 2, we scrambled to take down the computer, PA, and TV and get them into a dry place. We didn't put them back up for fear that said moisture might return, and moisture and electronics don't really play well together. And yes Chris, I played with results and DNFed all those before the rain started. That run was FTP in the rain.

Thanks again AJ for helping me not DNF my last run which put me into plastic cup territory... Pretty dumb place to do it 3 times. You had that problem too? I was preparing for my fourth run when I learned I had been scored as a DNF on my first three runs. Funny thing is, I had walked it the way I drove it and don't remember seeing anyone walk it differently. But, sure enough, my runs were DNF due to the gate right after the showcase 180. Jon said he saw driver-after-driver DNF that same section in the second run group. We were luckier than the driver parked next to me, who had a winning time in class and learned after the event he had four DNFs. No scoring, no timeslips, no one at finish, and if there was a PA in the group, we couldn't hear it. I sure am glad Grid let me know before my last run! That's exactly where mine were also. The only thing that alerted me to it was running 10 seconds faster in my GS car than an SMF car that is usually near the top in raw. CCR is usually good about alerting people after multiple DNFs, but I think the rain threw that off a bit.

I DNF'd at the same spot on my 2nd run. Luckily I did it correctly on my first run which was my only dry run which was my fastest.
I felt pretty confident about the course on my first run, but after the rain hit and we had to take a break, I was getting all kinds of confused. I wasn't looking ahead, just driving from cone to cone.

Well, I learned my lesson from that event. Don't leave a miata's hood up with sideways rain. Maybe it was just due to old wires, but spark plug wells half full of water do not let the car run very well Forgot I had the hood up when the really bad downpour came through and didn't realize it until it was almost over. As for that gate, yes. I was watching the 2nd run group and it was a coin toss each time a car went around as to whether they were going to DNF on that gate or not haha. It was set so far to the right even if you were looking ahead you could miss it, in fact if you were looking far enough ahead it was really easy to miss. Me and Alan almost walked right past it while walking the course! We turned the corner looking on up ahead started walking the line we thought we needed and I look to my right "Oh sh*t, there is a gate here!". To bad I didn't get to actually run any and see if I would've remembered to drive through it on the course
