I'll be there! I got it sorted out pretty decent at BMW last weekend and Claimed a 2nd behind the Festiva. I got home and found out I only had 1/2 throttle travel! DOH! Some new plugs, a twist of the mix screw, and a reset of the cable and I'm good to go. I was pretty happy about how the car handled, I couldn't make it plow or oversteer, very nuetral with a pretty agressive alignment. i can't wait to try Conti with this setup. i did great there last year at the 24hr. I'm pretty "up-in-the-air." My wife's graduation is Saturday night (at 41 she finally finished college), so I don't know my weekend schedule. I will do my best.

Wish you could come Brad, but I understand. See you at the next one hopefully. I think we are still ok in meeting the 5 person minimum since Bob told me he is coming in his Elise to compete in SS. I'm going to try and recruit a few more people at this event though to help fill out the team.

I'm kind of back. My wife is 9 month prego so I've been a little busy, but I hope to be out there sunday with my new ride. Yea it's slow and isn't running at it's best but for now I think I want to run it just to get a feel for it. It's an 87 VW Cabriolet that I'll be running is SM.
That is unless anyone can tell me where it would place in a M cat. Because I dont see it on any lists for anything.....

First one fer ya?? Congrats either way! BTW - Didja find a Notary at the last event. The Chief Reg is one, so...just let her know in advance if anyone is planning to "trade" cars at an event....
If by M category you are asking about Modified classes - I think you would be EM, for Production or GT cars with a min weight of 1700#. If you car is under 2.0L it may be in DM. Either way a fast class - esp if a couple of fast CRXs or MGs show up. In Prep, you would be in EPrep. Just bolt on a set of Hoozyour or Lightyear slix and you can come play.

We are in the 4 more weeks area so she can pop at any time really LOL. my car is currently a 1.8 but I will have a 2.0 block from a 95 jetta on it in a month or so. i dont have money for slix I have a set of Falkens on it currently 205's it should have decent traction for now. but i'm still working out a lot of bugs..... |

If I'm still a member of this team... I'll do my best to make the rest of the events. Too bad the 12hour didn't count, I was able to get to that one!
The Rabbit is back together, and running fairly well, so I have no more excuses for missing events.

Very much looking forward to this weekend! I will be running my Rabbit at both Statesville and the 24hr, after that, things get a bit uncertain, as I have someone wanting to buy the car. So, If I show up to the rest of the events in a Miata, would you all welcome me? Or, would I have to stick a Lotus emblem on it? Just trying to keep this thread alive... Brad |
