You would still be welcome, even if it is a Miata! ;D I will be at Statesville and the 24hr event. We are only 3 points out of second and 11 points out of 1st so with 4 events left it is still anyone's game. With Rob F. and others coming to Statesville we have a good chance of placing very well. Look forward to seeing you there!

Aimee, I see that Justin is selling you ride! Bummer! When are you going to come back and autocross with us again? Yeah I know! I hope he can find a good home for it! Well.......I am supposed to be back in Alabama now, until next week, but the AC breaking again in the house has kind of postponed that plan. Assuming I am, in fact, going home, I will not be at the Statesville event ( ), but hopefully will be able to make the Sept 1 (24 hr?) event... (unless I'm missing an event between now and then?) Still, that seems so far away!!!! It will definitely be good to be back... -Aimee

You are forgetting about the NCAC at Danville the weekend before the 24hr event. I won't make it to the NCAC as I will be in Colorado at the Lotus Owners Gathering that weekend.

Well, whether or not the results are used, I think Team Yurrip did really well at Statesville. I think we could have picked up the event win. Good drivin'! Next time Brad

Chris I think you did great you looked really smooth, but I saw you push it on your last run. But You did some nice runs i missed you in Novice this time. Dave

Yeah, I was really overdriving the car on both runs 2 and 3. I am going to start looking for an experienced codriver who is familiar with car setup and is a good instructor. I will also try to start doing some other autocross events with Triad, Tarheel, or SCR to help get some more seat time.
I can't wait until the 24hr event. If it goes anything like the EVO school where you get tons of runs I think I can really make the car shine. I just need time to learn each corner and what the car/driver can and can't do.
Hope to see you there!

Next time Brad I think you are right Brad, we had a very good chance of winning that one. Isht happens though. Hopefully we can have as good of a showing at the 24hr. See you there.

I'm sorry I havn't been around. I probably wont be around much longer have the 24hr. With lil man being here now and the soon to be loss of my GTi and being broke I'm not going to be racing for awhile.
I will be at the 24hr in my friends Cabbie though. hope to finally meet some of you.

Hopefully we can have as good of a showing at the 24hr. See you there. So, do we have a driver list for this weekend? I see a few not making it. I don't see how we can win the series, but it would be nice to win the rest of the events.

I will be there running in SM in a Cabriolet not the GTI, as I do not have the GTi anymore.
I plan to pay the $10 fee then as well. Who do I pay that to?

I think you can give the $10 either to Steve Shin or Chris Ross.... I think... Ok I looked through the entries we have so far and it looks like there are only two people who aren't signed up so far! Let me know if I missed your name... Chris Ross - ASP Brad Gates - FSP Aimee Fincher - STS2 Gregory Brunelle - EP Adam DeVoe - SM Jack McGahey - HS-T The only people I didn't see who were on the list were: Joe Downer and Robert (?)... Let me know if I just missed your name on the registration list! It's going to be a fun 24 hours!

I don't see how we can win the series, but it would be nice to win the rest of the events. We still have a shot at winning it. If we win the next three events and Team Nissan gets one third place showing we would win. If I remember correctly, Team Nissan had a bad showing at Statesville, so if that hadn't been thrown out it would be a very tight event. Either way we are still in it! See you there!

I think Team Europe did pretty well overall... did everyone else have as much fun as I did? ;D I enjoyed about all of it I could stand... This was my first 24. And, in over 200 autocrosses, these were my first ever runs in the dark. It was a fun course, and had it's challenges. With the tight turns leading onto the full-throttle sections, I think it favored the Scooby Dos, but we did pretty well. We were very close with team Nissan. I felt I got pretty much all my 90hp could get out of the course, so I'm pretty happy. I had a good personal battle going with Willie Stock all night, and ended-up 5/100's short in the end, but it was sooo much fun.

That's great! I did too (enjoy all of it I could stand)... ended up sleeping from 10-3:15 in the back seat of my car. It was my first 24 as well, and, although I was pretty dubious of my ability to properly place the car in the dark, it went ok and was great fun! I know how you feel. Matt P and I battled back and forth for awhile... but in the end, he was able to get a run that was .028 seconds faster than me! But...even though I didn't pull it off exactly, it really was SO much fun!!! It was a cool milestone for me, cause I think I am finally becoming more consistent, instead of alternately being too agressive and not being aggressive enough. Add that to the fact that Chris let me take his car on a run and I didn't spin it and actually got a halfway decent time was WAY cool! Now all I have to do is get my fastest time of the day in 4-5 runs instead of more... lol

I had a blast as well. I battled my Co driver Nathan the whole time. Then Brad and Chad and to get him to let some air out and he stomped me with a 33.2...... :-D I wish i got another run in after my last work assignment. Eh, I still had a lot of fun.
I wish I also could of gotten a ride with ya Brad. I did have fun at IWOP though.

Really good job team! The course favored the Subies in a couple of spots and they were able to capitalize on it and take the win. Unfortunately it knocks us out of contention for 1st, but we still have a decent shot at 2nd place. If that event at Statesville didn't get thrown out we would be in contention for first!

Adam, I'm glad we were able to help Nathan get a bit quicker, too bad it didn't benefit you as well. I have as much fun helping others get faster as I do with my own runs...
Chris, nice job getting down into the mid 30.'s; vast improvement from where you were "stuck" earlier in the morning/night. Thanks for trusting me to drive you car in an attempt to help out with your lines, as well. I hope I was some help to you, and not just more wear on the car.
It was nice to see all of you again. I look forward to the rest of the season.

We aren't out the running for 2nd yet! It may be a long shot, but it is still possible. I just wish we had filled out our roster a little earlier in the season. If we didn't have those two last place finishes from not having enough drivers there would still be three teams fighting for 1st.

There's always next year too! I hope we can stay together as a team and REALLY beat up on the other teams then . One of these days I'm going to actually beat MattP! Or *gasp* even get my own car to autocross! Question....... IF I end up not driving a European car (i.e. Honda or something)...... can I still be on Team Europe? :-D Question 2 ... We need to get our Tshirts done for the NTI event! (Ok that wasn't a question.) ... what needs to be done to get that done?

Hey Aimee if you guys are looking to do shirts, maybe look for a company that does sublimation printing. Typically you can do small runs i.e. ~ 12 shirts in various sizes for a good price. The process is pretty straight forward and doesnt require a screen to be made so the price is much less. If you have your graphic done most places will take it via email or disc in some form of adobe software. Since its not silk screening the ink is actually transfered into the fabric of the shirt and lasts a long time. I think I have seen prices down in the $5-$6 per shirt with minimum orders of a dozen.

No problem, you could even check to see if they have something like a coolmax type shirt available over a regular cotton beefy t. The coolmax will accept the ink in the heat transfer process quite nice, helps keep moisture off your body, and is actually a bit more resistant to stains.
