Off NCR's forum: Announcing the first running of the Cape Fear Cup. Anybody interested in captaining or being on a team for the 2007 season please let me know. the rules are simple. you need a minimum of 6 drivers and a maximum of 12. Scoring will be based on the 5 lowest pax times from 5 different classes. Teams can be formed on any criteria the captain chooses, manufacture, country of origin, muscle cars, classic cars but you need to be represented in as many classes as possible to be successful.
Any interest in doing something similar within CCR?

this is a cool idea. i think my car club might actually be interested. we already have 3 drivers that come to events and possibly a 4th might join us this year. we can prolly get a couple more to come out to race or find some ppl we know that would wanna join a team.

I was thinking about a Z team. Mike, Tony, myself, Justin, and Chris!
That would be a good team!!! ;D

Z Team would be good. We'd need to recruit at least one more car though....
Would Steve, Morris or John count?
Since they take the 5 lowest times...I'm pretty sure I'll always be the first they take...lol

BSP Pro BSP BST BS SM2 BSPN
I think that would work.
This would be fun. Finally my times would count for something. Though I bet we could get Hank to join the team as well with his G35C. That would add another category....SMN. But we'd have to be Team Nissan I guess rather than Team Z. Unless we ignored semantics and just counted the G as a Z since they're about 90 or so % the same car.
Cool...this is my 100th post on the board....

Team Ford??? ROFL...Oh geez, are there even 5 fast Fords in NC? Last year the fastest Ford was a 1979 Fiesta!! Oh, we are really gonna scare somebody. LOL
But, I'm in - it sounds like fun!....
I think Mr. Belden and his fire breathing, tire shredding Vette had a similar idea last year. Just didn't get off the ground for some reason.

If we do this someone will have to keep track of the points. Also, we need to make it worth something for the winning team.
Any suggestions?

Question... Do you guys want me to create a new forum just for the team autocross competition?
You'll have to register at the new board, but you can use the same username and password as here.
What I'd create would be like: Category for general discussion, rules, standings, team roster, team formation. Category for each team, access to that category would be RESTRICTED to just members of that team (other than moderators). The team captain would have access to create boards within each category, or have the board admin (me) do that for them.
What do y'all think?
