Very cool, glad to hear about some competition for the year, especially where I won't be fighting against pax, my poor driving habits, and under prepared car for the class (though a blast on the road)... I just have to contend with my poor driving habits and severely under prepared for the class. :-) . Seriously though, it should be fun.

I was thinking the same thing, my thought is a course that differs from the traditional zmax layout. That could be fun. Maybe someone built a car and named it beast, you know how aj likes to name cars.

So, are we going to be able to run "tire" pax in intermediate now like they did at Black Lake? Cause that would have made a huge difference in intermediate class at the first Zmax event had some people known we could do that.

If I can get some break-in time on the new motor, I plan on bringing out the Red Beast.

We aren't able to do that in Novice or Pro, so I don't see why we would be able to do it in Intermediate.

SCR =/= CCR
All I'm saying is we've never done it like that before... there are four index classes to choose from. Novice, intermediate, pro, and tire. You can pick one.

I am pretty sure that even the Pros did it last weekend. +if you're referring to the RT PAX index ... that's only for Stock classed cars .. as an STC car you already have the street tire thing included in your PAX .... you could always go back to your open class and run against cars that run only on street tires ( with the same PAX as you )

I'm pretty sure Tad was asking the question about the street tire index for his SM prepped car and not for Lisa's STC prepped car. I think he was wondering if he could run his SM car on street tires in Intermediate with the .98 (or .975) street tire mulitiplier.
I know a .98 multiplier was used for CCR's Tire class last season when the overall PAX results were posted, so I think that's all he was looking to have clarified.

Thanks, Joe. That is what I meant, but I do see now that only stock classes at Black Lake could use this magical tire multiplier. Or at least that is what it looks like, I did just work all night and I haven't been able to sleep yet. So I could be completely wrong.

As far as I know, AJ is still going to apply the 0.98 multiplier to our Tire index class competitors. Mixing Pro/Tire, Intermediate/Tire, or Novice/Tire has never been an option before.
I agree that it DOES make sense to allow someone competing in Intermediate B-Stock who is also running street tires to be able to use the 0.98 multiplier and technically run Intermediate B-Stock Tire... however we have never operated like this before. I would have certainly utilized this during my Novice B-Stock days.

RT and Tire modifiers are on agenda for discussion this evening. We will post back about it.
Brian, get some! Be great to see the beast run.
Jeff, I got you! Revenge will be on old Z1s though. I might have a Honda out as well.

Hahaha! I like that thinking they might depending on which hub center your wheels are. RT Pax modifier WILL be adjusted in pax classes for those who want to do so. In the dry this is confirmed, in the wet we are still discussing. This allows someone to run a SS vette on street tires in Intermediate *cough* Jason Rooks or a say SMF car to run Pro on street tires. What ever the situation may be.

I think Mazdas have a smaller hub center than Hondas, so if it fits a Honda it should fit a Mazda!

I don't think you can let the weather conditions determine what the rules and regulations concerning PAX modifiers are... sounds like a cluster waiting to happen, say, when it starts raining halfway through an Intermediate run group. I say either allow it or don't. The gray area will come back and bite us if we leave it open to interpretation like that.
But being an SSM car that has been running on street tires ever since I came into the class, I am all for this motion.

With that said, see rule sets for conditional/rain events. There are changes that get made in those situations. We are trying to cover that scenario. It turns into the same banter as we had at Black Lake otherwise. We want to keep the equality there. Some cars get an advantage, some a disadvantage. We want to figure out a way to even it out fairly. Nothing we can do when the TT is running though ;p Eric, you're good dude. Appreciate your efforts!

I think Mazdas have a smaller hub center than Hondas, so if it fits a Honda it should fit a Mazda! I had to confirm, but yes this is correct. I knew one was 54.1 and one was 56.1 but I can never remember which is which. Miata is smaller.

Truck is not going to be ready for this one (maybe August, and even then the engine won't be up to snuff).
